TT02 is well known for its shaky steering mechanism. It is a good idea to 3d print a small brace so to hold the steering levers stable. In fact you may find it very useful to DIY steering related reinforcement parts for TT01 and TT02. Cheap but useful. This is another field test video:

RC Techtip Video: Testing polarity
When you need to do a lot of wiring, sometimes it is very easy to make stupid mistake causing reverse polarity. Most speed controllers offer no protection against it! To ensure the wiring is correct, you can use a multi meter. Or, you can come up with a simple testing device through the use of […]
RC Techtip Video: FT009 RC boat receiver/ESC unit replacement
The Feilun TT009 RC boat is a very popular 5 4 0 class RC boat well known for its low price and reasonable performance. However, due to cost reason it uses a PCB kind of integrated receiver and ESC unit which will eventually die after going through about 50 packs of 2S. Instead of buying […]
RC Tech Tip Video: RC boat running on 775 motor
Ever wonder what is special about RC boat that runs on a 775 motor? Usually when a boat has an overall length of 60 cm or more and that the drive system is a direct drive one, using a 775 motor would definitely make more sense. It gives way more horse power than a 550. […]
RC Tech Tip Video: vintage car shaft cups and wheel bushings replacement
In the 80s both Bandai and Nikko RC have released their very own four wheel drive 1:10 RC buggies. These buggies are of pretty good quality although non standard parts are often used. Upon excessive use their wheels can become shaky and you will need to replace the bushings that hold the shaft cup. The […]
RC Tech Tip Video: Are PLA 3d printed parts strong enough for RC?
ABS and PLA are the most common desktop FDM printed materials. Most beginners start with PLA because it does not require very high temperature to print and does not generate bad smelling along the process. The question is, how does PLA hold up in terms of strength and durability? The Tamiya Falcon in this video […]
RC Tech Tip Video: The easiest way to upgrade a brushed RC boat
Lower cost RC boat like the Ft009 is powered by a brushed 540 silver can. If you want to make the boat faster without spending too much money, the easiest thing to do is to replace the motor with a faster one, such as a 21 turn motor. A 21 turn motor can rotate faster […]
RC Tech Tip Video: 3d print RC parts with delta printer
Delta 3D Printers are tall and thin. They have a round print beds which does not move. There is an extruder above the print bed that moves using 3 arms attached to individual posts located every 120 degrees to form a triangle. A problem with Delta printer is that the size of the object you […]
RC Tech Tip Video: A better Silver Can for your RC car
Inside a DC motor for RC, an electromagnetic coil is attracted to a permanent magnet within the magnetic motor assembly, and this attraction causes the motor to rotate. When electrical power is absent, the wire loses its magnetic qualities and the motor stops accordingly. The newer generation of brushed 540 silver can motor comes with […]
RC Tech Tip Video: Avoiding Battery Contact Corrosion problem
Smaller RC cars always use AA cells as their power source. The problem is that if you leave the cells in there for too long, you will eventually find a mass of green corrosion on the contact plates, preventing electricity to flow through the system. This Battery Contact Corrosion problem is unavoidable unless you change […]
