The sheer amount of brands and designs of RC models in the market often introduce tremendous confusion to beginners who are new to the hobby. There are many techniques and technologies involved in serious RC hobby-ing, and you are likely to have a lot of questions on them. Let’s face it, hobby quality RC models are not toys but technology items that are way much more sophisticated.
R.C.PRESS is the premier information source for R/C technologies. It has the goal of putting all different kinds of R/C technologies on the global map by publishing books that bring to light the knowledge of R/C technology innovators.
What makes us unique is that, rather than just telling you what upgrade kits to buy, we tell you what quick fixes and workarounds can be applied to solve problems quickly and cost effectively when you don’t have all the parts handy. We even go one step further by telling you what preventive measures can be taken to avoid problems.
Continuing with our pursuit of building trustworthy content, we always refuse to republish industry press releases and rumors. Our readers should be able to trust that they are reading accurate TECHNICAL CONTENT in our publications. The majority of what we review is provided directly by the manufacturer of the product. The product samples are delivered to us with the expectations of us providing a fair thorough technical review.
Here are some important points as to how the submission and evaluation process works:
- We do not charge any fees for reviewing product samples or publishing the reviews. This means there is no bias when the products are evaluated. Evaluations are completed by our review team and/or hired experts as needed.
- Products that pass the evaluation process will be incorporated in our publications for demonstration.
Manufacturers are encouraged to send their products for review to bring additional exposure to their offerings. There is no limit as to the number of products that any one manufacturer can have reviewed at one time. - Evaluations and reviews are generally completed within 6~8 weeks following the receipt of the product (with occasionally exception). The time varies based on the volume of products currently submitted, as well as the complexity of the product. Product that requires assmebly generally require a much longer time to complete the review.
- Products are not returned to manufacturers upon completion of the evaluation as they are used beyond just the product specialist team. Many times they are given away to users for further field testing.
- While safety is a primary concern for most products, we do not directly test safety. These tests are left to the professional bodies that specialize in safety testing.
