Lower cost RC boat like the Ft009 is powered by a brushed 540 silver can. If you want to make the boat faster without spending too much money, the easiest thing to do is to replace the motor with a faster one, such as a 21 turn motor.
A 21 turn motor can rotate faster without overloading the boat’s ESC unit prematurely. And it has an internal fan that can help cooling the system. Expect to see a 10% or so increase in overall performance.
Still, in the long run you should also upgrade your ESC to a better one.
