A typical gear differential: The drive gear is mounted on the carrier which supports the planetary bevel gears (TT01 and TT02 have 4 such bevel gears while some third party products have 3) which engage the driven bevel gears (one on the left and another on the right, each with a dog bone shaft drive hub).

Gear diffs are generally not adjustable mechanically but through varying oil thickness.
