How to tell if a motor is for 1:8?

A 1:8 motor looks like a 550 in size. However, with closer inspection you can see that the motor shaft has a different dimension.

A 1:8 is much heavier than a 1:10 due to the excessive use of metal parts. The motor must therefore be very sturdy.
