The Tamiya Bruiser is a 1/10 scale radio-controlled model that replicates the 1980s Toyota Hilux 4WD pick-up truck (RN36). Originally released in 1985, it gained acclaim for its realistic design and mechanical complexity. In 2012, Tamiya re-released the Bruiser, maintaining its classic features while incorporating modern enhancements.

The model boasts a ladder frame chassis, mirroring the structure of the actual vehicle. Its live axle suspension includes metal axle housings, leaf springs, and oil dampers, providing both durability and realistic off-road performance.

A notable feature is its 3-speed transmission, which can be shifted via radio control, allowing for versatile driving experiences. In the lowest gear, the model operates in 4WD mode, enhancing its off-road capabilities.
