>> Tech Tip - General , Tech Tips >> RCPRESS tech vid: using tachometer to measure RC car wheel speed

A tachometer is a device for indicating the rotary speed of a rotating shaft. It can measure the working speed of a motor in revolutions per minute. The test button is for generating a laser beam to the reflective label on the rotating element. The reflective label must be secured on the wheel for proper measurement to take place. By pointing the laser beam to the wheel, you can find out the RPM under a no load condition. The memory button can then be used to reveal the rpm data recorded.
