When for whatever reason the hull is broken, you may try to fix it by using a combination of glue. First you can use the so called A B glue, which requires that you mix two different glue together and have them applied quickly on the cracks. They usually dry in hours. Be careful when using them since they are highly corrosive.
When the cracks are big, you may want to additionally apply water sealant on top of the A B glue. Water sealant can cover much larger cracks. And after this layer of sealant is dry, you may have an extra layer of A B glue applied on top of it. This should give a pretty solid assurance.
