Using silicone

Applying silicone spray onto bearings immediately after running on wet track can prevent rust.

Bearings are typically made of metal, which can rust or corrode when exposed to moisture. Silicone spray creates a protective layer that repels water, preventing rust and corrosion that could otherwise degrade the bearings and reduce their lifespan.

Water can wash away lubricants on the bearings, leading to increased friction and wear. Silicone spray helps to re-lubricate the bearings, ensuring they continue to operate smoothly and efficiently.

Wet tracks often mean that dirt and debris can stick to the bearings more easily. Silicone spray not only repels water but also helps to prevent dirt and debris from adhering to the bearings, keeping them cleaner and reducing wear.
