Ideal Settings by Track Type

Rough Off-Road Tracks:
Higher ride height
Softer springs
Thicker shock oil
More droop
Negative camber (about -2 degrees)

Smooth High-Speed Tracks:
Lower ride height
Stiffer springs
Thicker shock oil
Less droop
Anti-roll bars
Slight toe-out in the front, toe-in at the rear

Mixed Surface Tracks:
Medium ride height
Medium springs
Medium shock oil viscosity
Balanced droop
Adjust camber and toe based on observed handling

Testing and Tuning

The best way to determine the ideal settings is through testing and tuning:  Start with Manufacturer’s Base Settings: Use the settings recommended in your buggy’s manual as a starting point. Adjust One Parameter at a Time: Make small adjustments and test the buggy to see the impact of each change. Keep Notes: Document the settings and how the buggy performs to understand the correlation between adjustments and handling characteristics.
