What is going to happen if you “mis plug” the connectors into the channel slots?

Based on my experience, this will do no harm to most AM radio receivers.

However, if you mis-plug into some modern 2.4g receiver, there is a chance for you to fail the binding circuitry.

Just to be safe, the ESC connector always go to channel 2. Use Futaba connector whenever possible (most receivers take futaba plugs).
