To prevent the dog bones from falling out, the most effective measure is to limit the movement span of the arm. Zip tie can do the trick.

Do make sure you provide sufficient cooling for the motor (and also the ESC). Even a stock silver can needs cooling to last!

It is ok to connect a 5V fan to the motor POS and NEG connections. The ESC will supply the necessary power to it. A 2cm 5V fan shouldn’t add much load to the ESC.

Also check and make sure nothing is loose on the steering mechanism.
