To connect receiver and ESC/servo produced by different manufacturers, you may need to do some work on the connector. Say, if the connector plug has a shape that cannot fit into the receiver port BUT the wires seem to match (based on their colors, for example – White, Red, Black), one dirty trick is to open up the plastic shell of the receiver and file away the plastic that blocks the plug.
For example, the Ansmann receiver does not support standard Futaba connector so you must manually modify the receiver shell.
