The photos below show the steps taken:
First we expose and remove the existing circuit board and servo.
Make sure the two motor wires remain accessible.
Then we install a standard real RC servo.
Then we connect, test and secure a receiver and an ESC.
Finally we arrange a small opening on the side so the 2.4G antenna and the ESC switch can reach the outside.
Done.
