Free Tech Tips – changing gear ratios

>> Tech Tip - Drive Train , Tech Tips >> Free Tech Tips – changing gear ratios

Generally speaking you can change the gear ratio by changing the pinion and/or the spur gear. HOWEVER, some chassis designs simply would not give enough room for changing to a larger spur gear. Also keep in mind, changing the pinion would require changing the position of the motor, and you simply may not have sufficient room for doing so due to space constraints of the motor compartment.
