Below are photos of the Flytec V009. It is based on a Jet pump system.
A waterjet propulsion system aka pump jet system propels the boat by a reaction force generated by high-speed jetting of the water stream. It sucks water from the bottom and accelerates the water flow via the motor and the enclosed prop so to obtain thrust by the change of momentum. Our experience shows that it s NOT as fast as a regular prop system. However, since everything is enclosed the prop is supposed to be protected.
With a jet pump system, the propeller is fully enclosed. Water is taking in from the bottom of the hull. So is the water intake for water cooling.
