Is 3D printed parts strong enough?

It depends. These replacement shock towers are pretty solid so far:

This Optima uses a 50% filled 3D printed C hub. It breaks after approximately 20 minutes of running. Seems like 100% fill is necessary.


The photo below shows a replacement arm for the Tamiya onroad. It does not last.

This is a middle gear for the vintage AYK. It does not last.
