You may need to use nut drivers to set or remove hexheaded shaped screws, nuts and bolts. You may also need to use a pen shape soldering iron for rewiring the power connection.
The Tamiya wheel wrench is my favorite (it is included in every Tamiya kit). It is compatible with the wheel nuts found in most 1:10/1:16 offroad cars.
