Fixing abs part fracture

ABS plastic such as those of the Tamiyas can have fracture upon impact. This is especially common on arms and linkage around the hole for the step screws where the edge distances are just too short.

You can fix it before it is too late. First apply super glue onto the crack.

Then, before the glue gets dried, use a hot iron to apply PLA or PETG material over it.

This will hopefully add some strength to the repaired part.

* the hot iron you use for this purpose should be reserved specifically for such use. Don’t use it for normal soldering anymore.
