These photos show the inherent structural weakness of the Hotshot rear upper swing arm. The point that connects to the rear shock is very weak. Sadly there isn’t much you can do about such structure. You may, however, find STL files that are ready to print as replacement.
But even with 3d print, you need to use 100% fill. The design of this suspension system is imposing downward pressure to the arm all the time. Very uneasy for the arm!
With 3d printed mounts and reinforcement, it is possible to come up with a better suspension structure for the car (the original damper remains in there for cosmetic purpose only).
