One-Way is an option commonly found in the high end R/C cars. Its primary function is to allow the front wheels (in the context of R/C, One-Way is primarily for the front) to freely spin even when the motor is not working. Without a One-Way, everything stops when the motor stops. With a One-Way at the front, the front wheels will continue to spin without braking even when the motor is cut off.
