RC boat electronics overheated

>> Boat , Tech Tip - Boats >> RC boat electronics overheated

A lot of the time the receiver-esc integrated unit that comes with an entry level boat just won’t be good enough when you are installing a new motor. In this example a strong magnet 380 motor replacement is way too demanding for the entire system. We got a burnt wire and an overheated circuit as a result.

To make things work you will need to use a good standard ESC and receiver, and make sure the motor is water cooled. The fan built in to the motor just won’t work. In fact, the motor’s built in fan is always the first thing that fails. It simply melts down!
