Thanks for watching this video. Today I am going to show you some small modifications to a small scale RC car which makes it fun to drive and easier to maintain.
These days we are seeing more and more smaller scale RC cars on the market. Due to the smaller battery compartments, smaller battery packs are being used. The problem with these smaller packs is that they are using some smaller SM connector plugs that are inconveient to use and not-so compatible with the mainstream.
The SM connector plug has different variations, which are all intended for small drones and toys. I replace this plug with a deans plug. Soldering is required and the soldered wires are protected with heat tube. I use a small 20C 7.4V Lipo pack instead of the 9.6V pack that comes with the car.
There is an extra set of wires for the front light bulbs. The car is good to go after tidying up the wires.
I optionally branch out wires for a 20mm cooling fan mounted directly on top of the motor. So far the car runs great on grassland!
