Techtip: why does the ESC “fail-safe feature” fail?

>> Tech Tip - Electronics >> Techtip: why does the ESC “fail-safe feature” fail?

Many modern 2.4g Radios have fail safe protection, but still you can lose control of your RC car resulting in a crash. Why?

There are two things:

1, It is the ESC that supplies power to the receiver. Without power the receiver can do nothing.

2, If the ESC is overheated or screwed, whatever instructions sent to it by the receiver will have no effects.

Based on our experience, a RC car will easily “lose control” if the ESC cannot handle the load. Regardless of how advance the receiver it, an ESC under influence will crash your car.
