Standard size 7.2V for RC cars should have this dimension: 137mm (Length), 47.5mm (Width), 24mm (Height) in order to fit into traditional 1:10 RC cars (the Tamiya vintages in particular).
Sadly, modern 2S lipo packs with casing are always marginally larger, thus making it highly difficult or even impossible to fit in.
Alternative arrangement would have to be made… the example below shows a HPI truck with battery mounted on top of the chassis.
