Modern ball diff

>> Tech Tip - Drive Train , Tech Tips >> Modern ball diff

Ball diffs are adjustable, allowing you to fine-tune the amount of traction that’s delivered to each wheel. You can adjust the diff’s tightness by tightening or loosening the diff screw.

Modern ball diff units differ from the older counterparts in that more “balls” are used to avoid breakage.

The photo here shows a ball diff unit for a brushless F1. It has 18 balls built into it!
