The Tamiya TamTech RC car is a line of smaller scale RC cars that was first introduced in the early 2000s. The TamTech platform was designed to be compact and lightweight, making it ideal for indoor and outdoor racing.
This 1/12 Tamtech is a vintage product of Tamiya based on the GT01 chassis. The motor is mounted at the rear end, with a 4-wheel independent double wishbone suspension featuring a unique front-mounted horizontal friction damper system allowing for an accurate low silhouette. It is designed for joyride, not for racing. You can use a 370 class brushless motor on it but don’t make it too powerful as the plastic ball differential unit will break. It also has a slipper clutch, which is pretty fancy.
