Replacing the spur gear on a shaft driven 4wd

If you ever need to replace the spur gear on a typical shaft driven 4wd, the first thing to do is to detach the rear gearbox. There are screws to remove from the top and the bottom:

Then you need to detach the motor mount. Chance is that the shaft cup sits on this mount too. You will need to use a hex key to remove the cup so to take out the spur gear:
