One biggest problem with RC boat is heat dissipation. The inside of the boat has to be completely sealed for water proofing, therefore heat can hardly go away.<\/p>\n

Even though there is water cooling coil surrounding the motor casing, modern lipo packs are too powerful for the brushed motor. Even with a 2S like the one shown in the photo, the motor will eventually fail after around 30 cycles (assuming each cycle has a running time of less than 10 minutes). <\/p>\n

The lipo pack will also have problem (easy to swell up) due to overheat – in fact it could be even worse since there is seldom cooling for the battery pack. <\/p>\n

So far we couldn’t come up with any viable workaround for the problem. Adding small cooling fan inside wouldn’t help since the hot air can hardly escape…<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
