<\/a><\/p>\nThe 12T metal pinion is long, and it has to be long in order to reach the spur gear. That means the replacement motor must have a long shaft too (at least 15mm).<\/p>\n
It is very uneasy to remove the pinion (you have to do this by brute force) without risking the breakage of the mount. The stock motor shaft is 2mm, which is different from the standard 2.3mm.<\/p>\n A pinion removal tool may help, but you must find out suitable for a 380 size motor. It won’t work if the size doesn’t match. Also, a removal tool made with aluminum is weak and may deform easily.<\/p>\n And since there are so many 380 motor variations (to me it looks like it is a 380, not a 390. A 390 is longer than this –\u00a0 38mm VS 47mm) out there, you will want to replace both motors together to keep them running at the same pace.<\/p>\n If one of the columns breaks just like what we have here, you can still rely on the back cover to secure the motor.
