<\/a><\/p>\nThe Parken prop is different in shape, pitch and size from the Volantex one. However it works perfectly ok on the Mini Trainer.<\/p>\n
Using prop from a different brand needs trial and error. It does not always work out of the box.<\/p>\n
Props are usually NOT gyro specific. That means gyro based planes should not need special props.<\/p>\n Prop pitch does matter – generally, a larger diameter at the same pitch and RPM will have the same speed, but greater thrust. When the diameter is insufficient, there will not be enough power generated to produce the needed lift. Pitch may make a difference, especially when the plane has one motor on each side of the wing (the motor on both sides should use prop of the same pitch or differential thrust will result).<\/p>\n On a single prop plane, lower pitch allows the plane to accelerate more easily for takeoff and to climb.<\/p>\n When a plane is over-propped, the diameter is too big or the pitch is too great, the motor won’t make it’s rated max rpm, and you risk damaging it quick. Keep in mind, a really small motor can hardly turn a huge propeller fast enough.<\/p>\n You will likely need to do a lot of testing to get things to work right – the proper combination of prop, motor and plane can get complicated from time to time.<\/p>\n<\/a> <\/a><\/p>\n
