However, I do have a slightly shorter shaft (about 1cm shorter) from another car. I also have some extra shim washers and slightly longer shaft cups.<\/p>\n<p>Because the replacement shaft is shorter, I need both ends to get closer. Some washers are added to the cup of the wheel end. The cup on the diff end is replaced with a longer one (about 2mm longer, which is all that I have in my pile of parts).
